Hi! In case you haven’t met me yet, my name is Ariana and I’m the creator and Director of Well Fed Photography.
This week is a very special week because it represents so many wonderful things that have happened in my life since becoming a mother – and a breastfeeding mother at that.
Breastfeeding gave me the gift of believing in my body and recognising the innate divinity within it. Breastfeeding gave me the gift of understanding my power as a woman. And breastfeeding called me to be of service to others through my own gifts and talents, inspiring me to create this beautiful business that I love so much.
It has provided the opportunity to connect with countless other amazing breastfeeding families both through our photography services and through working on our upcoming book of breastfeeding stories.
It has enabled me to hear THE MOST INCREDIBLE STORIES of others around the country and to create a space for those stories to be retold.
And that doesn’t even begin to cover the many other vast and varied gifts and benefits that has come from breastfeeding my little ones.
While I know the subject of breastfeeding can be extremely challenging and emotional for some, this week I celebrate the gifts it has brought into my life. I celebrate the life that it has given me and I celebrate the gift of becoming more myself than ever before through the spiritual growth and connection it has provided.
So Happy National Breastfeeding Week to all, to everyone, and it is my hope that through our services, our projects, our photographs, and our interactions with others, we can help make the breastfeeding journeys of others easier and much more supported, too.
